Job Description:
Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff including security guards and desk clerks. Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and related safety and security topics.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Security Control Center and Security Officers.
- Assist in overseeing the security training of all colleagues.
- Assist in managing the security department’s day to day operations.
- Ensure Emergency Response Coordination.
- Dispatch and Control Center Alarm Monitoring.
- Ensure access the hotel’s various access points are controlled and if required staffed.
- Ensure loss prevention protocols are being utilized consistently and routinely.
- Ensure the systems the security team rely on are functioning and maintained: CCTV, door alarms, panic buttons, etc…
- Maintain Lost and Found procedures and integrity.
- Review and ensure completion of Daily Security Report
Job Requirements:
- Service focused personality is essential
- Valid First Aid and C.P.R. certificates
- Five years’ experience in security of property and people, preferably in a hotel
- Excellent organization skills, written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated individual who has strong leadership qualities
- Computer knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Available to work overnight shifts, weekends and holidays
