Job Description
A marketing leader is the one who helps plan out the new marketing strategy. This crucial part of the marketing plan aligns the goals and establishes the key metrics that measure the success rate. The marketing goals should align with the brand’s overarching goals for removing barriers to growth or stability.

Job Responsibilities
- Clear and constant communication with Business Development (BD) leaders, weekly BD meeting/reporting (via salesforce) with senior staff
- Know the firm’s portfolio in detail, understand practice area capabilities, actively seek out firm’s best practices for use in office PA efforts
- Conduct internal and external research on new opportunities, prospective clients and practice areas
- Lead strategy meetings with BD champions
- Create pitch strategy/budget with BD champion including research, network mapping, tasks/milestones, reviews and delivers pitch strategy throughout process
- Research targets, internal relationships, company history, market position; ensure client or 3rd party Q&A and site visits
- Concept/write/design new material as needed to support marketing programs
- Manage daily workload/staffing for marketing team
- Support regional marketing initiatives as part of the senior members of the marketing team in APME
- Be the point person responsible for Middle East for global-related projects (permissions, publications, submissions, etc.)
- Seek out and implement process and content improvements
- Coach peers on new ideas and best practices
- Mentor and train junior team members while also inspiring them to be proactive in their own professional development
- Maintain consistency of marketing deliverables, alignment with firm brand program, participate in design reviews with the global and regional marketing team
- Maintain resources & information systems: ordering materials, updating project documentation, resumes, image libraries, support award submissions
- Oversee local PR & communications efforts including: media, events, sponsorships, and photography
- Lead local internal communications as relevant
- Support Gensler sustainability goals. Especially on topics relevant to your day-to-day duties
- Engage and collaborate with the larger team on sustainability efforts and initiatives
- Research and implement ways to optimize our internal workflow environmental impact
Job Requirements
- 8-12 years of professional experience in a marketing role, preferably for an architecture, design, engineering, construction, or industry-related firm
- Bachelor’s degree in, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Architecture, or adjacent field
- Strong graphic design sensibility and written/verbal communication skills
- Experience managing significant marketing projects independently, working closely with senior staff and leadership on marketing initiatives
- Experience managing a team – hiring, training, mentorship, and leading talent
- Experience strategically partnering and supporting senior staff on business-critical projects
- Self-motivator with strong intra-personal skills; a great collaborator
