About Role
As a waste management specialist, your responsibilities include identifying and quantifying the scope of projects, developing budgets, researching contractual and budgetary obligations, and working with local stakeholders to ensure that the project remains in compliance with local or state waste management regulation.

Job Responsibilities
- The Waste Management Expert’s role will be to support the appointed team of qualified consultants as well as recommend, devise and implement the strategy on how to best operate city infrastructure and built environment.
- Interact and consult with the consultancy team and client on appropriate waste management systems elements on a city wide scale.
- Provide recommendations for enhancements or changes to systems to evidence continual improvement.
- Review and comment on specialist service provider risk assessments and method statements.
- Identify and develop processes to eliminate the root cause of deviations, in corrective actions on non-conformances.
- Develops and implements procedures for disposing of hazardous or contaminated materials in accordance with governmental regulations.
- Oversees design and implementation of waste disposal systems.
- Provide waste management expertise and know-how in solid waste management, landfill, etc.
- Develop policies, procedures and systems in the safe and proper handling of waste materials.
- Develops, recommends and updates waste management policies and procedures.
- Develop a sustainable waste management strategy to best operate a built environment and how to mitigate environmental impact.
- Developing solutions and mitigation strategies on waste management issues
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate 10 years plus in waste management, Energy and sustainability.
- Solid understanding of sustainable practices, environmental science/ management and waste management.
- Knowledge of MEP systems and maintenance operations.
- Exposure to the property and/or facility management sector.
- Holder of a degree level qualification.
- Six Sigma certification is a preference (yellow belt/green belt/black belt).
