Job Description:
The Transition Manager will be responsible for developing high-quality transition/mobilisation programmes within bids and overseeing the initial phases of the subsequent mobilisation/transition programme (prior to hand over to the deliver manager/business unit mobilisation manager) on time and within budget. They will be responsible for managing and overseeing a core programme of work within a bid delivery team, managing key internal Serco relationships during the process
Job Responsibilities:
- To design, plan and execute high quality transitions/mobilisations on individual opportunities across our sectors.
- The opportunities will range in size and complexity.
- Working with the bid team to create, implement and manage a transition project plan and strategy as a core component of a winning bid
- To prepare and deliver essential bid documentation relevant to the transition and mobilisation components including; mobilisation approach, dependencies, risk / issues / opportunities register, action log, team information
- To ensure that appropriate governance is followed, and all relevant approvals are obtained
- To plan projects in a structured manner and ensure the end to end project lifecycle is fully managed
- To ensure projects follow best industry practice and compliance with business processes and the Serco Management System
- Define project success criteria and communicate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Document preparation for meetings and assist with collation of management reports where necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience of project management and implementation.
- Team management experience
- Experience of working within a project delivery environment
- Experience of the whole project life cycle
- Computer literacy (MS Project and Office essential)
- Degree from an accredited university in a relevant field preferred
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
