Job Description:
The Telephone Operator helps people direct telephone calls. He/She may use computerized telephone directories to find telephone numbers that callers request and make connections for calls. These calls include long distance, overseas and local. The Operator employed by businesses may answer all incoming calls.
Job Responsibilities
- Process all incoming and outgoing calls accurately and courteously
- Assist guests with international calls and directory queries
- Aware of local telephone listings and frequently dialed numbers
- Strictly follow by standard operating procedures governing cases of emergency such as fire, bomb scare and other critical situations
- Advice defects on switchboard equipment to IT.
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the Hotel’s fire, life and safety system
- Accurately record and control wake-up calls
- Ensure employees are informed daily about priorities to personalize service
Job Requirements
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
- Must have the ability to multi task.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Can handle guest inquiries and challenges in operation.
