Serco Middle East is a well-established, leading organization in the region and is looking for Storekeeper in one of our prestigious projects in Abu Dhabi. The purpose of this position is to provide effective inventory and distribution management and services in accordance with the client’s requirements.
Storekeeper Job Description:
To procure, store, and issue supplies in a supply operation; process and maintain inventory records; modify and implement inventory control and disposal procedures; perform related work.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and locate stock within the stores area
- Receipt and inspect all materials arriving on site to ensure that the items are the items ordered, of the standard required, in good order and fit for purpose. Reject all substandard goods.
- Record any stock movements on the inventory management system to ensure accuracy of stock levels at all times
- Manage all stock movements and a follow through with any discrepancies that arise and ensure all details, variances and discrepancies in received stock is recorded accurately and communicated to management and/or suppliers
- Collect goods from local suppliers when required and emergency reasons indicated
- Perform stock audits and co-ordinate stock checks.
Requirements/Experience/ Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ideally holds a UAE forklift and heavy-duty license
- Ideally a holder of a valid driving UAE license (for both manual and automatic gear) with good driving skills and experience
- Two years Diploma or Equivalent in any relevant field
- Previous CAFM experience is a plus.
