Job Description:
A Senior Staff Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care and management to the patient. S/He is also responsible for providing supervision, guidance and direction to junior nurses and nursing students to ensure that optimal care is provided to meet the desired positive patient outcomes and experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate work of designated area to ensure efficient functioning of unit
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care
- Demonstrates self-motivation and organization Skills
- Participates in staff meetings, committees and projects.
- Provides supervision and advice to PRR staff regarding patients’ enquiries.
- Maintains update service specific competencies – according to guidelines.
- Maintains awareness regarding Hospital Policies and Procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- 4 year General Nursing Diploma / Degree
- Current license to practice nursing
- Minimum 2 years general medical / surgical experience
- BCLS certification
- Private hospital experience desirable
- Post graduate diploma, where applicable
