About Role
A Senior Staff Nurse provides nursing care and management to patients. He/She also guides and directs junior nurses and nursing students to ensure that the best care is provided. He/She works in settings such as acute and primary care, hospitals, and care facilities.

Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate work of designated area to ensure efficient functioning of unit.
- Demonstrates self-motivation and organization Skills.
- Participates in staff meetings, committees and projects.
- Demonstrates cooperation, coordination and respect among individuals / departments in order to provide excellent customer service (internal and external).
- Performs additional duties when required.
- Prioritizing work load according to the need of the patient and the operational function of the clinic.
- Understands and strictly adhere to the policies and procedures established in the Employee Handbook and AHD Policies and Procedures.
- Punctual, i.e., reports for duty on time and informs Clinic Manager/Designee when leaving the area. Adheres to clinic operational hours.
- Follows the chain of command in reporting incidents or concerns.
- Assist staff nurses and care assistants in planning, implementing and evaluating direct patient care.
- Ensures accurate nursing documentation is maintained as according to hospital policy and procedures.
- Assist in creating a safe and friendly environment for all patients, their families and other staff members.
- Participates in and maintains clinic specific audits and other data.
Job Requirements
- 4 year General Nursing Diploma / Degree
- Current license to practice nursing.
- Minimum 2 years general medical / surgical experience.
- Private hospital experience desirable.
- At least two (2) years of recent post-graduate nursing experience.
