Senior Accountant Job Description:
A Senior Accountant analyzes various transactions and prepares monthly, quarterly or annual financial statements. They also run reports throughout the year that help them keep up with all aspects they’re responsible for on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Prepare daily bank, Credit Card, GRN & Supplier reconciliations and monthly accounting reports.
- Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
- Entering Purchases & Expense vouchers in the financial accounting system.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
- Provide accounting policy orientation for new employees.
- Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
Requirements/Experience/ Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Commerce required.
- Three years accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare institution with demonstrated administrative skills.
- Excellent command of oral and written English.
- Well versed with computer skills like Word and Excel and familiar with usage of accounting software.
