Job Description:
A Quality Manager is a professional who ensures that all products within a company meet consistent standards. They develop and implement quality control tests to ensure the company’s result is what it should be, inspecting at various stages in production and writing reports on their findings to take action where needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Devise and review specifications for products or processes
- Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
- Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
- Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
- Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
- Approve the right products or reject defectives
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
- Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
- Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
Job Requirements
- Service Quality Standards and analytics
- Needs Assessment methodologies and learning needs identification
- Learning technologies, such as e-learning options and distance learning
- Theories and types of evaluation for measuring program financial impact, such as Kirkpatrick’s 4 levels
- Project planning tools and processes
- Communication and influencing strategies
- Basic budgeting, accounting, and financial management
- Current on industry trends affecting service quality
