Onsite Service Machinist Job Description:
The Specialist/Machinist is responsible for operating mobile equipment, tools & machinery efficiently and accurately onsite. He or she will carry out the machining work onsite. This role is an entry level position reports to Service Manager (OSM Segment).
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare completed measurement and machining checklist/ data form post work completion.
- Perform other additional duties as requested by Service Manager
- Ensures that all specified records are correctly taken, reviewed and approved.
- Ensures proper use and storage of equipment and chemicals
- Identifies non-conformances and tags and segregates non-conforming items
- Ensures all lifting equipment is correctly used, and prior to use confirms its current inspection status
- Performs Lock Out Tag Out duties in accordance with site procedures
- Provide OSS progress updates to internal customer team and OSS Service Manager
Job Qualification/Experience/Skills:
- Degree related Machinist Trade Certificate or Technical college.
- Machining experience in heavy-duty equipment.
- Ability to use and read measurement devices such as inside/outside micrometers and dial calipers/ indicators
- Proven years of experience in operation of machining activities onsite or workshop environment.
- Knowledge with CAD software, drawing/sketch creation would be added advantage.
- Interpersonal skills Customer service orientation
