About Role
The Quality Manager RN functions as a representative of the Quality and Regulatory Team by identifying, monitoring, evaluating, educating, and improving processes affecting the care of patients and which facilitate continued readiness and compliance with federal, state and Joint Commission regulations.

Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation of the quality plan in a timely and proper manner to ensure wide staff participation and support for the process design and redesign.
- Ensure that quality improvement interventions are based on data collection and statistical analysis.
- Prepare reports, recommendations and alerts based on analyzed data.
- Ensure compliance with Nursing Department, and JCI standards and requirements.
- Monitor selected JCI standards compliance on an ongoing basis, maintaining a constant state of readiness for survey.
- Participate in regular assessment of the quality management activities to ensure their effectiveness.
- Provide educational support to all nursing staff with regards to quality improvement, accreditation standards and other regulatory standards.
- Support a blame free environment.
- Assume responsibility for meeting JCI required mandatory education, e.g., fire, safety, infection control and others.
- Use the PDCA model for process design and redesign, as selected by the hospital PI program.
- Develop data assessment tools and processes pertinent to quality assessment in patient care and nursing practice.
- Round regularly on patients in all units to determine if nursing indicators are met, and Intervenes when and as necessary.
- Conduct time motion studies on demand.
- Conduct records reviews and identify trends, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Perform prevalence and incidence study of certain quality indicators to gather information and produce relevant data.
- Perform internal and external benchmarking processes.
- Utilize current research findings, practice guidelines, and standards to modify data collection processes.
- Participate in research studies, when needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of standards of nursing practice at AHD.
- Assisting in overseeing nursing performance improvement.
- Selecting and identify quality indicators.
- Improving practice by modifying clinical and operational processes using Evidence Based Practice.
- Implementing a culture of quality
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation standards to ensure integration of concurrent review program with the overall organizational performance improvement program.
- Carry out investigative activities related to case reviews to be sent to the concerned department/unit.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data pertaining to medication errors, occupational events, patient falls, environmental control, pressure injury, and others.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (duration not less than three years)
- Post Graduate Degree in Nursing/Quality is a must
- CPHQ is desirable
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience in an acute care setting
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement
- Knowledge of system process analysis, quality/process improvement techniques, design, and integration, at a level of complexity associated with integrating processes across multiple departments of the organization
- Experience of influencing at a strategic level
- Experience in managing large, complex projects and initiatives.
- Knowledge of principles, methods, procedures and current trends in health information data management
- Possess a level of analytical ability to problem-solve, evaluate, plan, and direct process improvement projects for all clinical departments
- Evidence of developing innovative and creative solutions to achieve organisation objectives within clinical improvement setting
- Participated in accreditation programs and surveys
- Knowledge of developing standards, policies and procedures
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability to engage with clinicians
