About Role
As an investment counselor, your responsibilities are to recommend investments of stocks, bonds, funds, real estate, or other assets for clients. You may suggest a variety of wealth management strategies and help clients create and then implement an investment plan.

Job Responsibilities
- ICs joining Citi Global Wealth (CGW) EMEA business will be distinguished and highly accomplished at establishing, growing and managing investment relationships with ultra-high net worth clients.
- ICs should be experienced in the implementation and oversight of investment solutions, and in providing advice and guidance on markets and actionable investment ideas.
- Appropriate candidates will possess the credibility to cultivate trusting relationships with existing ultra-high net worth clients and should be entrepreneurial and capable of bringing in new clients/investment relationships.
- Candidates for the position should be collaborative and team oriented, able to leverage a wide array of internal partners.
- Combine in depth knowledge of traditional and alternative investments with wealth planning and private banking services to optimize client service and cross-marketing opportunities.
- Work across currencies, asset classes, markets and jurisdictions
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in the financial industry
- Extensive experience in providing investment advice and solutions
- Investment and banking product knowledge especially in the UK and European markets
- Solid knowledge in asset allocation process, trading (equity, FX, fixed income and derivatives) and managed investments
- Knowledge of Citigroup’s investment offering is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
- Successful team worker with ability to work individually
- Ability to work under stress in possibly volatile market conditions
- Possess high level of professionalism and strong personal integrity
- High level of competence in Bloomberg, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong creative and interpersonal skills coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit and selling skills
- Broad base of execution skills, having successfully completed a range of complex transactions with bankers
