Position– General Accountant
Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Base Currency : AED
Description:
Also known as general ledger accountants, GL accountants ensure that an organization’s accounting information and practices are accurately reflected. They gather and verify the accuracy of financial data, check journal entries, and reconcile accounts. They may be full time employed or work as consultants in a wide variety of settings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Record or Import supplier’s invoice in back office system from material control system.
- Ensure all supplier invoice are recorded to the correct expense account code.
- Process supplier payments in a timely manner.
- Ensure all non PO and contract invoice are sign by the concern authorize department.
- Review and reconcile bank statement & monitor the daily bank transaction.
- Prepare complimentary bill report on daily basis. – Prepare Flash Food Cost on daily basis.
- Create new vendor in back office system (Scala).
- Review supplier contracts to ensure have valid documents.
- Create payroll disbursement in Online Banking
- To be responsible for month-end deadlines and schedules.
- Assisting Chief Accountant when necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in accounting beneficial but not essential
- Hands-on approach with a can-do work style
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
- Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
- Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
- Strong communication skills
