Dental assistants are responsible for providing the patient with high quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory, and patient care duties. This usually entails helping the dentist handle patients, instruments, and supplies during the treatment of the teeth, mouth, and gums.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the construction of prosthetic appliance to do chrome cobalt and metal copying.
- Provides technical expertise to procedure dental laboratory appliance as prescribed by general and specialty dentist.
- Responsible for the level of dental appliance like full and partial denture crown and bridges.
- Duplicates working study casts to do metal crown casting, polishing, fitting, and setting artificial teeth.
- Assumes responsibility for work director when assigned to ensure operation of the laboratory in the clinical standard.
- Consults with clinicians to ensure accurate interpretation of Assists in the developmental self-study activities to prepare technicians examinations and advancement.
- Responsible for all laboratory equipment.
- Supervises all work done in the dental laboratories.
- Cooperates with department colleagues and peers so as to achieve the hospital vision towards excellence in treating patients.
- Renders patient health-teachings on proper care of artificial dentures, curative and preventive measures to avoid damaging gums while prosthetics are in place.
- Provides and attends to continuing education, training, and demonstration by sharing new procedures and techniques to colleagues, nurses, and technicians assigned within the department in collaboration with Academic Affairs and Research Centre.
