Front Office Manager Job Description:
Medical records clerks manage the medical records of a healthcare facility. They sort and organize patient files by name or by number for easy retrieval and updating. They create digital copies of health records for quick access and to secure patient information against system failures.
Responsibilities:
- To Release patient Medical Information upon verifying the Release of Information Consent, Identify the Right Patient and Right Reports.
- To maintain safety , security and confidentiality
- To provide medical record services including outpatient. Inpatient , emergency unit and administration
- To collect specified clinical reports of the patient for scanning and uploading in to the computer as per the requirement
- To carry out quantitative analysis of the admission , discharge patient’s Electronic Health Records and maintain the medical records audit tool
- To protect medical records from unauthorized disclosure so as to maintain confidentiality
- To perform any other work related to medical records as instructed by the Medical Records Officer
Requirements/Experience/ Skills:
- A secondary school qualification (Grade 12) with Diploma in Medical Records Science
- Relevant Medical Records experience in a healthcare setting
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Knowledge of scanning documents
- Medical terminology
- Numerical literacy
- Compilation of patient files
