Job Description:
The Anesthesia Technician checks and supplies anesthesia carts and machines, checks and replaces anesthesia gas tanks, disassembles used anesthesia equipment, disinfects machines and supply carts, replaces used products and prepares transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
Job Responsibilities:
- To assist during induction of maintenance of and recovery from anesthesia
- Checks anesthesia machine very morning prior to surgery to ensure that the gas scavenging system is attached and the suction apparatus is attached and functioning.
- Positions patients for surgery and those requiring spinal or epidural anesthesia with awareness of requirement of a sterile and sterile technique for the procedure.
- Maintains awareness of safety hazards and takes necessary action to prevent accidents.
- Attends staff meeting as and when required on a regular basis.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient records and activities in the O R.
- Participate in conferences or training to update or share knowledge of new techniques in Anaesthesia.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma / College Degree in Anesthetic Techniques.
- Minimum 2 years experience after qualification and registration/license to practice.
- Currently licensed in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Al Ain, UAE.
- Fluent in spoken & written English, Arabic language is desirable, but not essential.
- BLS provider
