A Director of Finance is responsible for the company’s long-term financial health and growth. They establish strategies that will earn profits, oversee accounting operations, produce accurate reports on where money is going within the business and improve or change current practices to increase efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
- Preparing and analyzing budgets
- Understanding and advising on compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
- Performing risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
- Controlling and evaluating the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
- Liaising with banks and setting up relations with banks in UAE and other GCC countries
- Work with bank compliance, organize process of accounts opening
- Cash flow management, payment control
- Manage and supervise audit
- Tax support and tax structuring
- Analyzing of complicated legal structures and cash flows from tax perspective
- Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
- Tracking, reporting, and analyzing budget variances
- Reviewing the company’s financial statements to ensure they are accurate
- Preparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Recommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance
- Forecasting future financial performance, including 3 forms of statements: profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- CPA, CA or ACCA is mandatory
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- Understanding of complex accounting issues such as purchase price allocations (M&A, JVs, etc.)
- Extended knowledge of corporate finance, understanding of such concepts as WACC, FCFF, APV, Project financing, JVs, etc.
- Wide knowledge of international taxation
- Working experience in BIG-4 company is a plus
