As a business development manager, you’ll need to: research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets. foster and develop relationships with customers/clients.
A strategic sourcing manager selects, evaluates and manages vendor partnerships. They use these relationships, along with data analytics, to solve problems and achieve business goals. As you might expect, the role focuses on using strategic sourcing principles in the procurement process.

- Developing a pipeline of opportunities and support revenue targets
- Partnering collaboratively with Marketing to perform market industry research and analysis, competitive assessments, and customer/market segmentation to identify new growth platforms and opportunities
- Presenting Baker Hughes & GaffneyCline to potential clients with particular emphasis on new business development.
- Developing business solutions for existing clients
- Presenting /attending conferences and other venues to promote GCA’s activities
- Providing direct input to a wide range of petroleum sector projects
- Building long-term strategic relationships with key customers and markets to develop partnerships and opportunities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geoscience, Engineering discipline or Business with minimum 15 years’ experience, ideally with a consulting background
- Be self-motivated, delivering to deadlines with a flexible approach to problem-solving, without compromising detail or quality
- Have established industry contacts and network within major mining organizations such as SPE, SPEE, AIPN, etc.
- Have the ability to be a technical consultant to our customers and build successful and strategic relationships
- Have oral and written communication skills in Arabic. Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrate organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities. Proactive attitude, initiative, decision-making skills and accurate oriented.
- Have a solid account management skills, including developing relationships at the C-suite level; financial & analytical skills & strategic planning capabilities
- Have aptitude to decrypt up/mid/downstream market & stakeholder dynamics
