How to apply for the insurance?

  • Go to the Health Insurance page and start the process by filling out the small form
  • Wait for a response from Sanitas
  • Have the following documents ready to send
  • The Sanitas health form (below)
  • Your school enrolment papers
  • A copy of your passport/TIE
  • Wait for Sanitas to approve your case (usually 72 working hours)
  • Pay the full insurance fee after approval on this page
  • Receive your certificate and health insurance card

Please note that the processing time might be slightly longer due to the weekend, official holidays or any other reasons.

How much does the insurance cost?

The price is 44.40€ for the Studentfy card holders and 46.90€ for the non-Studentfy card holders per month.

How much do I pay?

You pay depending on how long you need your insurance (in months). Just multiply the number of months by the price.

How can I pay?

You can pay by bank transfer, or directly on our web page. You must pay after your application has been approved.

How long does the process take?

It usually takes between 7 to 10 working days to have your final papers ready. It may take longer if extra documents are required.

Is this only for students?

Yes. You need to be a student to be able to apply for the Sanitas International Student Health Insurance package.

When will I receive my insurance card?

You will receive your insurance card 10 to 14 days after receiving your digital certificate.

Is it possible to have my application rejected?

In theory, yes. It depends on your health status, needs and conditions. You will be given the reason.

How can I apply?

First you need to download the two forms (above), fill them out and send them to us.
